One day until Lift-off

Allright,
So hopefully I can keep this up the entire time I am across the pond. Right now I am sitting at the Panera Bread in Coolidge Corner, which is a common office for me when visiting Boston. I have sort of become a hermit while visiting Bean town, living out of my bag filled with computer gizmos, a good book, and a few clothes. Up until today, I had a small black velcro messenger bag which held little to nothing. Also it could never close if it had too many things inside. This was a bag begging to be thrown out. And so today, I finally found it's replacement. A large Pantagonia branded messenger bag with a laptop compartment, and plenty of room for all of my belongings in my old bag AND my old bag itself. With buckles on the front of it, I can be a little bit more secure about my belonging while traveling in and out of hostels.

So the checklist of things to do before leaving at 9:30 PM on Monday, August 31st, 2009:
Get a new bag---Check
Electrical plug adapter for european and UK plugs--Check
purchase walking shoes--Check
Clean and repack all belonging--
Send off dinner with Family--
obtain new non-earplug headphones--
Obtain a few crosswords for the plane--

My program does not start until September 3rd, and therefore, cannot check into my place of residence until 8am on Thursday, I have booked two nights at a hostel in central London. The address for it is:
Smart Russell Square
71 Guilford Street
London
The review for this hostel have about about 75% positive with complaints about the showers being small and not much privacy. But its a hostel and cost only 7 pounds a night, so who's complaining? There are small curtains on the bunks to give you a little privacy while sleeping, similar to trains. I'm quite excited about these two random days to explore London. Those who might be reading this, you might know that I like to get lost on purpose. Explore off the beaten path only to find my way again, and become more knowledgeable of the city that I am presently living in. So before I even have these orientations about the program I am attending, I will have a general idea of the great city of London.
